It has been a sad week, after 14 wonderful years old age finally took its toll on our Jasper.  I wasn't sure what to expect and was not prepared for the deep feeling of loss I am experiencing. It is something dog owner's do not think about when they decide to get a dog but it is part of the journey. He started to lose his sight last year and by August I would say he generally found his way around by smell.  His health had been very good up until last year and things started to go wrong last

A customer asked me to design and make a pin brooch based on a flower from her garden and we chose a snowdrop. The pin of the brooch is made from sterling silver with a pin protector on the end and the snowdrop itself is made from fine silver. It was quite a challenge as I have not been asked to make this kind of brooch before. It is the actual size of a snowdrop and is to be worn on a coat or jacket lapel. I am very excited to be attending the largest baby and toddler retail show in the South East on Sunday 5 February at the Arora Hotel.  The Baby Todd show will have many exciting baby suppliers attending including a swing library and there will be a buggy park and a free of charge creche to enable you to enjoy the show fully. The venue is close to Crawley Railway Station and the Town Centre so ample parking.

The studio is finally finished and in operation.  Situated at the bottom of our garden with amazing views across the fields to South Lodge Hotel.  There is no better place to work than here.  As I sit at my workbench polishing my latest orders or working out a new design I glance up to see 5 pheasants passing by and later watch the rabbits with their white tails flashing around the field as they play.  The Trenchmore Farm cows peer in at my window as they make their way to the drinking trough. Everyone loves to bring home shells, sea glass, coral and other interesting pieces washed up on the beach but what do you do with them once you get home. They usually end up at the back of a drawer somewhere.
